Quite outstanding KITANO edged Laminate ZDP189 folder. Desert Ironwood slabs and nickel silver bolster, this lock back is outstanding. the blade shows a depiction of Mount Fuji in the 67HRC super steel. Not just picturesque, but beautifully practical too, with your thumb resting on the side of that sacred mountain.

ZDP 189 does not comprimise-Its strong, tough edge and high tensile strength, high rust resistant, holds a razor edge and is hard...very hard. 67HRC.
It will take an edge better than almost any other steel and hold it for longer, much longer. ZDP 189 is a rare steel, the patents are held in Japan and no manufacturing is done outside japan. Even in Japan almost no-one can make it, or use it and those that do, almost always make folders.
