In Memory of Mors Kochanski, Great Canadian and THE outstanding Outdoorsman of our time...

 

Mors Kochanski was a Great Canadian and THE Outstanding Outdoorsman of his time. His focus and energy was an inspiration to many, and the skills that he created and developed are a timeless treasure for us all.

 

Mors started life with a love of the outdoors, and this endured throughout his life~ he constantly tested and refined his Outdoor skills, and over time his passion inexorabley entwined with his career. Mors took his knowledge of Man and Nature to such a high degree that he eventually became a Survival Instructor of Worldwide renown. A Teacher of Teachers.

 

Vast numbers of people have benefited from his knowledge and craft, many progressing through the courses he developed, taught and mentored. Indeed anyone interested in Bushcraft will walk the Path that Mors Kochanski blazed.

 

And of course, Mors literally wrote 'the' book, part of his journey to teach and spread the knowledge he had gained was to consolidate and elucidate it in the pages of his bestselling book 'Bushcraft'. This is still the go-to manual for anyone interested in the practical applications of survival.

 

Apart from his many, many achievements as a Husband, Father, Author and Artist, Mors will be forever associated with the art of bushcraft, a great Practitioner, a great Teacher and the leading light in his field, in his time he was a true Pioneer.

 

His life is worthy of the highest respect and Honor ~as anyone who tries to follow in his footsteps will fully realise.

 

Born in 1940 in Saskatchewan, Mors died on December 5th 2019.

 

A Great Canadian.
