The liner lock is strong and positive and the handle design is open for ease of cleaning. The slabs of the handle are of Maroon or Ivory micarta. Micarta. Micarta is a composite of linen or fiberglass impregnated with resin and cured under pressure and heat to produce laminate sheets. These are then heated and cured together to produce a dense,hard material that is very resistant to decay and damage and is extremely stable. It is an extremely fine handle material.
