SKOOKUMbrand® Ivvavik Yukon Anorak with Coyote Ruff (womens). Made in the Yukon
This is the heavyduty, top of the range 'Skook' with a host of features. (The 'Womens' are a more tailored fit...you know...for Women)
These 'Skooks' are superb, I really enjoy mine and they are among THE very best outerlayers you can buy anywhere, and they are made right here in Canada. These are ideally suited to high activity in cold weather, they both protect and insulate, but also allow quality venting and high breathability. The design allows for great movement and the overall feel of the anorak is very 'natural' and comfortable.
Designed for the harsh winters of the North they work with you to protect you from the elements yet allow you to manage your heat as you move through the landscape helping to avoid overheating and sweating by use of the excellent venting design. They are a tough shell too, using the strong, tight woven 'Artic Tech' fabric with 'Cordura' reinforcements, giving years of use and offering snow, wind and water resistance.
Great for bushcraft activitys and snow travel, skiing, XC skiing and snowshoeing.
The original innovative and award winning SKOOKUMbrand® Yukon Anorak, the “Skookum Classic” has been tested in some of the world’s most challenging cold weather environments, like the Iditarod, the Yukon Quest, the Yukon Arctic Ultra, as well as the British Antarctic Survey.
Ideal for those that require versatility, the lightweight anorak is constructed with an adjustable fleece-lined hood and a functional fur ruff that is removable for laundering, fleece-lined hand warming pockets with iPod holster and through-pocket grommet for internal wiring, a zippered front-loading cargo pocket, reinforced elbows, shoulders and stitching, an inner wind flap and adjustable drawstring waist to trap or vent heat & moisture, Powerstretch® wrist gaiters and adjustable cuffs, high visibility 3M reflective tape and piping, Polartec® WindPro® fleece lining with 4X the wind-resistance of regular fleece, and, full two-way underarm zips to regulate heat/moisture during the heaviest activity.
