The Original design was based on the 'Golok' Machetes of East Asia. During times of British Military involvement in those areas the British Army were keen to issue their Troops with such a useful tool. So the BM Pattern Golok was Born.
Not too heavy, but heavy enough, not too long, but long enough. This is the mantra of the practical 'do-it-all' Tool.
This Svord version is excellent, Made of Swedish High Carbon Steel, tempered by BW Baker. The Nice large handle is Micarta Slabs which are tough and Durable with solid Pins of Steel and Brass.
The Tang is Full and Broad for Maximum Strength and the Beautiful 11in Blade is very slightly convex for wood Cutting ability. Balance is excellent.
This is a true, designed to be, All around Tool for the Woods.
