Svante Djarv Crook knife LEFT Hand
The crook knife, the multipurpose tool of the woodsman. Made by S.Djarv
There are very few more useful tools to the outdoorsman than the Crook knife, and in this fast moving world, there are few places left like the forge where these knives are made. A small place where tradition and quality and skill remain , where efforts are concentrated in one area, as all trades used to be, and where pride and satisfaction are the ultimate product. You can see it in the knives them selves, a tool that will last you many, many years and give good service.
These are super quality handmade (hand forged) Crook knives, made by a husband and wife team in Avesta, Sweden. Blade is high carbon steel hardened to plus 60HRC. This tool has many uses, the most obvious being the making of spoons (where the curved blade can be used to 'gouge' the spoons bowl) and the making of larger bowls and other vessels. It can also be used for making handles for axes, accurate shaving of wood and fine finishing of wooden surfaces.
This is a right handed tool, please select from selection box below picture for left hand option,, Blade is unhandled. See Pictures above for a handling method from 1945
