Made in the USA, this is a handy little hatchet, nice balance and very good Steel. The Flying Fox was designed to be an all purpose Tool, being a very competent Camp Axe, as well as a Throwing Axe.

The 1.6lb Head is made of 1060 High Carbon Steel and has both the bit and poll hardened, the profile is of a traditional cutter with a shallow convex grind.

The 1060 is a tough HC Steel and gives good edge holding with lots of strength and the Axe has the feel of a well balanced Woods tool. The curved handle is trimmed to 16in and is of selected hickory and has both Wood and Metal Wedges.
