The Otter Mercator has been Hand made in Germany since 1867, and its pretty much remained unchanged in every respect. You can look at pictures of ones from the 1900's and they will be near identical to the one in your hand today. Thats a testement to a true design and quality manufacture.
Simple and elegant, this tough lock back is everything you need for an EDC and nothing you don't, is a reliable, quality folder with a good lock and high end Solingen German Blade in Stainless Steel.
The Knife has a Brushed finish Steel body, the stamped 'Otter' as well as the clip and loop.
The body is folded steel, the pins are steel, the lock is steel. These things last a long time and the fact that many of the originals are still in use today is proof of their longivity.
