N690 is a high-quality stainless steel from Austria, highly regarded for knife blades that demand durability and reliability. It offers excellent edge retention and superior corrosion resistance, making it especially suitable for outdoor and demanding conditions. In our knives, the steel is hardened to 59 HRC, resulting in a tough blade that stays sharp for a long time and resists wear and rust, while still being serviceable to sharpen.
